After several days of hard fighting, the 12th Guards broke through and were advancing into Czechoslovakia. The Germans responded quickly, concentrating elements of the 1st, 8th and 24th panzer divisions around Dukla Pass in order to turn back the Soviets. The 12th Guards Heavy Tank Regiment awaited the German assault.
Objectives: Your Battlegroup consists of the remnants of your company and two sections of SU-152 Mechanized Guns. Your platoon faces west along the road. The remaining platoon of your company is deployed in reserve behind your platoon. The Mechanized Guns flank you to the north and south. Hold your ground and defeat the enemy. In addition to an attack from the west, your left flank is exposed, so be sure to watch for a thrust north up the road. Air Support has been promised.
